In the surroundings of Yoshkar-Ola, in the Republic of Mari-el, a remote rural area of ​​central Russia, lives the last pagan population of the West.
The book is the result of photographic and socio-anthropological research lasting 8 years, lived in direct contact with a peasant ethic not yet affected by time.
